Love lies bleeding has been a garden favorite for centuries. Its tall nature and heavy blooms cause the stems to bend over. This bending creates a wonderful waterfall effect in bouquets and arrangements. Staking or trellising recommended.

DAYS TO GERMINATION:7-10 days at 70-75°F (21-24°C)
SOWING:Transplant - Sow 4-6 weeks before planting out. Grow at 62-65°F (17-18°C) until transplanting out. Direct seed - After danger of frost. Support advised.

PLANT HEIGHT:Varies Providing support is advised.
PLANT SPACING:12-15". For upright, plume types, thinner and more manageable stems can be achieved using a tighter spacing of 3-6".
HARDINESS ZONES:Annual.
VASE LIFE:7-10 days.
HARVEST:Fresh - When at least 3/4 of the flowers on the inflorescence are open.
Dried - Seed has begun to set and flowers feel firm.
Drying - Stand up trailing varieties in a bucket or any tall container to maintain draped appearance. Hang upright varieties to dry.
SOIL: Well-drained soil. pH: 6-7 preferred.
USES:Fresh or dried cut flower, back of bed, accent in borders, containers.
