About Us
Hey y'all! Welcome to Fields for Ellie!

Fields for Ellie Flower & Farm Company is a small family owned and operated cut flower farm & seed company nestled in the delta hills of Senatobia, MS. The farm produces fresh cut flowers, floral designs, dried flowers, seasonal products, a growing assortment of seeds, tubers, corms, and bulbs as well as floral preservation, event designs, photography designs, educational workshops, speaking engagements, and garden designs.
Generally, the farms are not open to the public except for special occasions which will be announced via our social media sites and email. You can order our products online and directly through social media or email. Our products are also available at local farmer's markets and at South Point Grocery at Silo Square.
I prefer all inquiries go through email or social media messaging initially as I am currently a one lady show and the phone can be pretty tough to manage some days. Please send me an email with any questions or comments that you may have. this is also how you can initiate conversations for any projects, orders, events, or speaking engagements that we can fulfill for you.
Please don't eat or let anyone/thing you know eat our products. We don't advertise them as consumable due to possible toxicities and individual allergies.
Please respect our privacy and our farm if you happen to stop by to pick up your flowers on pick up days at one of our pick up locations. No unscheduled visits allowed. Tours and speaking engagements do require advance scheduling and fees.
Where We Began
One mom, two kids, and a need for a whole lot of plant therapy. Life gave us an opportunity to better our personal environment, but in order to do so, we had to give up everything we had ever known. That took courage, strength, resiliency, adaptability, but most importantly, the ability to endure one of life's greatest heartbreaks, not once, but twice! Our little family of four became three. First through separation, and then through tragic loss.
We've always had a garden, flowers, and a slew of animals, but once upon a time we had a porch garden that was different...
At the beginning of our big life change, I took the children to town and we purchased all of the supplies we needed to build a large porch garden. Something to focus on, to love, to tend to, to distract, to learn and to help us overcome. In this spot we broke together and healed together. We evolved. We grew.
One day as my youngest, Ellie, was caressing and talking to the flowers she said to me, "One day when we have our forever home, we are going to grow fields and fields of flowers and share them with the world!"
Little did I know, it would come true and so soon! In 2021, we moved to Mississippi where I was born and raised to our family’s farm. We spent an entire summer learning, failing, succeeding wildly, and preparing (if that’s possible) for our next big adventure. A year later, I was able to purchase a small farm of our own. Now, we have two farming locations, and are growing an incredible business supported by the best community in the world!
Our personal and past experiences mixed with the nature of our hearts are the driving factors behind our determination to pay it forward and give back to our community as much as we can. We strive to be as sustainable and regenerative as possible as we are nothing without a beautiful, thriving earth. This is why our motto and goal is:
"Healing hearts, minds, and the environment through flowers."

Who We Are
Ashley - Owner/Operator
Hi there! I'm Ashley. The creator, owner and operator of FFE. I am the granddaughter of Dutch immigrants. I'm a super proud mom to my spectacular kids, Jude and Ellie. I'm also a cellular and molecular biologist with a focus in medical botany. I have a second degree in applied ethics. I am a world traveler, artist, writer and philanthropist. I have lived on or spent some time on every continent except like 2 or 3. I have lived in a multitude of states and traveled most of the rest. I was a military wife for over a decade, and then I was an Executive Director for the United States Department of Agriculture for. After my divorce, I moved my children back to my home state of Mississippi from the wonderful state of Virginia where we lived many years on the coast and then in the Appalachian mountains. Nestled in the delta hills, my children unexpectedly lost their father, but we all gained perhaps one of the most wonderful people in the world, Klaus. We are now an international family with ties to the Germany, and the ability to visit the Netherlands fairly often. I use our time in Europe to draw upon education, plant variety and inspiration for our farm, family, and communities here in America.
Mostly and overall, I'm just a girl who loves plants. I am the one lady show behind this operation. I conduct 98% of everything done on this farm from admin to orders, to purchasing, planting, planning, designing, harvesting, preserving, drying, cleaning, delivering... you name it!

Ellie - Co-owner, PR, Fundraising, Creative, Pollinator Specialist
Ellie is not just a name sake around here, she is the real deal! She is the heart and soul of this farm, and if it wasn't for her, we wouldn't be where we are today! She is the one that dreamed of this farm and her ideas first set it into motion. She grew, harvested and collected sunflowers and took them to market for our very first time. This lead to every other market and selling opportunity that we have today.

Often the face of our daily happenings and announcements, Ellie loves letting her huge personality shine! She enjoys learning and working around the farm as much as a busy kid can do. She thrives in helping others, and loves to pass on her love and knowledge of nature every chance she gets. Ellie is the one that drives the mission for using our company to help others, and more often than not, finds exactly the best ways to do so.
